San Francisco, Calif., August, 2007 - No matter what side of the fence you sit on when it comes to the great Barbie debate (is she merely a childhood doll or is she the unattainable female protg); nearly every person of every age can appreciate this new approach to Barbie as a form of art. PNN.com announces the new "Altered Barbie Web Show," which will run through October featuring artists and attendants of the 5th annual Altered Barbie recycled art show that took place August 1st through the 19th in San Francisco, Calif.

The art show was presented by ChatterBox Intl. and Curated by Julie Andersen. Through the incorporation of Barbie into a recycled art object, this unique show celebrates the diversity of viewpoints surrounding the controversial doll, including personal image awareness and stereotypical gender rolls in society.

The Altered Barbie event featured over 75 artists and their work, which ranged from a Barbie replication of The Last Supper, to a floor-to-ceiling George Washington Barbie picture from the Goatee Nation Project.

With two episodes already making a presence on media web sites including PNN.com, PNN.com forecasts a new direction for mini-web-shows and media broadcasting. various artists, bands and DJ's as well as a demonstration by Allie Buckner the renowned author of the "How to Make an Altered Barbie" and "Barbie Killer" comics.
